Terumo Europe N.V. was founded in 1971.
However, the history of our parent company, Terumo Corporation, spans an even greater period in medical device development. In the early 1920’s, a group of Japanese doctors responded to the shortage of medical equipment in Japan by forming a company to develop a superior clinical thermometer for domestic distribution.
That company later became Terumo Corporation. It has continued to grow and has now taken its place among the global leaders in the medical device industry.
